Georgia PKU Connect will host its 14th Annual PKU Family Camp September 5-7 at beautiful Camp Twin Lakes Will-A-Way in Winder, Georgia, USA. Community members outside of Georgia are always welcome!
Camp activities include boating (kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, pedal boats), swimming in the pool, dodgeball, horseback riding, low protein cooking, archery, fishing, field games, and other fun outdoor activities!
In addition to parents and siblings, relatives like grandparents, aunts, and uncles are also invited to attend, and we love having adults with PKU join us as volunteer camp counselors.
Meals and snacks are provided throughout the weekend, including delicious low protein options! A large refrigerator for formula storage is available 24/7 in the centrally located dining hall.
Camp Twin Lakes has temperature controlled cabins. All cabins have three individual family sections, each with private bathroom and shower facilities.
Bike riding is very popular at camp. If you enjoy riding, feel free to bring along your personal bike and helmet. A limited number of bikes are also available to borrow.
Camp runs from Friday, September 6th at 4pm through Sunday, September 8th at 2pm.
